Kalyani, also recognized by the name Purnitha, embarked on her journey in the entertainment industry from a tender age, leaving an indelible mark on both Tamil and Telugu cinema. Introduced to the Tamil audience through the song "Madras Pattanam Yellaam Kattanum" alongside Prabhudeva at the age of 8, she has evolved into a mature and accomplished actress at 18.

Her foray into Kollywood began as a child artist in 'Allithandha Vaanam,' and she later transitioned into the role of a heroine with the film 'Prathi Gnayiru.' Following this, she showcased her acting prowess in 'Maranthen Meimaranthen' in Tamil cinema.

Kalyani initiated her career as a child artist in various television programs and gained prominence with her notable role in 'Alli Thandha Vaanam,' a Tamil movie. She further graced the screen as Raadhika Sarathkumar's teenage daughter Surya in the Sun TV series 'Annamalai.'

Changing her name to "Poornitha," she took on significant roles in films like 'Marandhen Meimarandhen' and 'Prathi Gnayiru 9.30 to 10.00.' Expanding her horizons, she ventured into Malayalam and Telugu films. Kalyani also served as the anchor for Vijay TV's 'Super Mom' and featured in television series like 'Pirivom Santhipom' and its Season 2. Currently, she graces the small screen with her presence in the television series 'Thayumanavan' on Vijay TV. Notably, Kalyani is the host of 'Super Singer Junior' on Vijay TV and 'Beach Girls' on Raj TV.

In her personal life, Kalyani tied the knot with a doctor named Rohit in a formal ceremony held in Bombay, showcasing another facet of her life beyond the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world.
